4WD Training Courses:: View photo gallery of our training This course covers the following unit from Certificate III of the Outdoor Recreation Industry Training Package SRO03.
SROODR002A (Plan Outdoor Recreation Activities) is a course requisite and covers such subjects as making logistical arrangements, selecting suitable outdoor equipment, planning food requirements, identifying water needs, planning clothing requirements and other non-routine situations. Both units will be co-assessed and a Statement of Attainment will be issued on completion.
This course is designed to take the recreational or professional 4WDriver to the next level. Our training sessions are limited to a maximum of eight participants to ensure each driver gets the maximum amount of 'hands on' experience. On successful completion of our training courses you will have:
- a greater understanding of how a 4WD works
Level 1 and Level 2 can be undertaken as separate units, but we recommend to most of our clients that they combine these 2 units over a 2 day course. Cost for 2 day course (Level 1 and Level 2 combined) is $400 (incl GST). This is a saving of $40.
This course has been designed for participants who have already completed Levels 1 and 2 and covers the use of a variety of recovery equipment and advanced skills to recover 4WD vehicles in difficult terrain conditions. An emphasis is placed on working in a safe environment when operating recovery equipment. Participants will get intensive 'hands on' experience in the correct and safe techniques used to recover a stranded 4WD vehicle.
This course is limited to small groups only. Dates are available on request.
